Family stands up to developers, refuses to sell their land now worth $50 million

The Zammit family has put their foot down and refuse to budge. No, they will not sell their land no matter how badly developers want it.

They have joined the countless number of homeowners who have been pressured or bullied into selling family land so that it can be repurposed for new residences or businesses.

The Zammits have been offered more than $50 million, but they do not care. It’s their land, and they don’t want to move from their home in Sydney, Australia.

When they first purchased the property it was surrounded by cottages and farms. Over the years, more and more neighbors were pressured to sell and the landscape changed to a sea of nearly identical new houses crammed on top of one another.

“Every home was unique and there was so much space – but not any more. It’s just not the same,” Dianne Zammit said in an interview with Daily Mail Australia.

Take a look at the video below and see what their property now looks like surrounded by a sea of starter homes. Do you agree with their decision to stay?
